9'6" EXTRA HEAVY HIGH MODULUS GRAPHITE CASTING SERIES FISHING ROD Migizi's high modulus, high strain graphite material fishing poles give you fast action with powerful tapers built into the rods and tremendous strength in the rear section of the rod. This provides the utmost of lifting power and response in hook-setting abilities. All blanks are manufactured with through construction and extreme slow set waterproof epoxy glues. No extensions on any of our rods under the cork grips. The rods are designed with one piece from the tip to the butt with built in power. The 9', 9'3' and 9'6" models give you the ability to make long sweeps and wider/deeper figure 8 presentations and power to make longer casts. The blank is coated with an ultra thin epoxy clear to protect the graphite fibers. The guides are hard marine Titanium frames with marine CNC machined Stainless rings that are Nitrite coated. These rings are 30% lighter than other ceramic guides on the market. These are not only light weight but will hold up to any line used without grooving. The top is completed with a Stainless tip. Our handles are made of Select AA grade cork with slightly oversized diameter. 5" fore grips give you enough balance and comfort while the full 16" rear grip gives you the extra stability when fighting a fish. Rod Building 101: Finding the Blank's Spine
Here Todd demonstrates a simple technique for finding the rod blank's spine. The first and most important step in building a rod after selecting the proper blank is locating the spine. Think of it as if it were your back bone. You only want to bend in one direction, forward, well so does a rod blank. Every rod blank has a back bone (aka Spine); some are just more defined than others. If you are building a spinning rod, your guides will be located on the inside of the curve 180° to the spine and a casting rod on the outside of the curve on the spine. If you are building a multi-piece rod, you need to repeat this process for all sections.

This custom rod is built on a Rainshadow RCLB70XL. This is my first attempt at marblizing process using pigment colored rod finish mixes to achieve desired patterns. In this case i tried to create realistic looking flames. Im pretty happy with the results considering this is my firs time trying the technique. Im sure with practice much better flames can be made.
